Law and Order
I choose Law and Order because it is a show that deals with many different issues. It is about two detectives who spend there days solving crimes. Every episode the detectives have a new problem to solve and over a due process of time they seem to almost always succeed. This how shows many realistic problems that are happening in our everyday lives. It deals with situations anywhere from rape to terrarism. It is intersesting to see how these detectives put thing together.
On the last episode I saw there was a racial culture dispute. A very high class middle eastern man has an arranged marraige for his daughter, but the daughter disagrees and says she is in love with another man. The father is infuriated and feels as though her child disgraced the family. In there culture if someone in the family disgraces them, then they must be punished by death. The father ends up making the son kill his sister. The detectives investigate and find out what happene and the son is arrested. The father wasn't easy to get though. The case isn't easy to judge though because he crime isn't a crime back in the country he is from, and the father puts a big fight. In the end though his wife testify's against him and he is guilty. He killed his wife before he was arrested. I think this is definetly wrong, but it does show the different situations that we don't pay attention to.
